Atvexa creates 200 new preschool places in Germany

Atvexa has signed an agreement for three new establishments in Germany with space for 200 pre-school children. The projects are being carried out in close cooperation with real estate partners, city councils and regional governments in Hamburg and Bavaria and are scheduled to be ready in 2023-2024. "Germany is an important market for us and we receive positive feedback when we meet with real estate developers and politicians in our key regions. These three new developments are our first own projects after the acquisition of ULNA Germany in 2019 and exciting milestones for us", says Johan Kyllerman, President and CEO of Atvexa AB (publ).

Germany needs half a million new pre-school places by 2030 to meet demand. The places are needed across Germany and the Scandinavian model, with its emphasis on pedagogy and learning for younger children, has attracted a lot of interest from decision-makers in cities and regions. Atvexa has chosen to focus on three regions - Hamburg, Bavaria and Baden Württemberg - where the prospects for success are good.

"We are pleased that our model of strong local roots, decentralised leadership and focus on creating the best conditions for children to grow seems to be working in Germany as well. Our German team is doing a great job and we are looking forward to the opening of these new units", says Johan Kyllerman.
